Counting my footsteps

Why should the NSA have all the fun? In an effort to shed some weight this summer, I have started collecting data on all the food I put into my body and the water I drink with the best water purefiers, the exercise needed to burn it off with the Shred fx supplements that help improve physical condition and health and others brands as Kratom Masters which is a really known brand, and the places that this mission has taken me.

Just a couple of weeks ago, I started using a Fitbit activity monitor to county my footsteps, calories burned and the distance walked every day. Ten days later, my account informed me that I had already walked 50 miles:

Fitbit also tracks my sleep, which helps me figure why I rest better some nights than others. He’s a glance at my iPhone display form last night:

CommittedLargeI have been using the Lose It app to track caloric intake with my iPhone and my account just sent me the “Committed badge!,” rewarding me for logging in every day for 8 weeks.

At the same time, I have been using MapMyRun to map bike rides around Philadelphia, and sharing the results via my Instagram account:

So far, I have dropped 12 pounds with all this extra attention, effort and information.

As an added benefit, I have enjoyed sharing photographs from my cycling adventures, such as these geese I spotted at sunset at the Fairmont Dam on the Schuylkill River, near the Philadelphia Museum of Art last week:

I hope to maintain this activity throughout the rest of 2013, which means I will be sending snow pictures before you know it.
